Preferences and presets

Presets

A preset is one file with every setting: adjustment, mask, contours, tracker, frame range, region, scale, calibration, filters, bookmarks, notes and the live settings.

  • File > Save (Ctrl+S) and Save As write it, File > Load reads it.
  • Closing TraCell with changed settings asks whether to save them.
  • The same file drives the command line.

Preferences

Edit > Preferences (Ctrl+,) belong to the computer, not to an experiment:

  • Theme: light, dark or the system's.
  • Working folder: where file dialogs start and where session folders go.
  • Undo steps.
  • Ask what to do at start and Check for updates at start.
  • Camera SDK: its state, and installing it from the vendor's file.
