# TraCell

> TraCell is a desktop app (Windows, Linux) that detects and tracks cells flowing through a microfluidic channel,
> from a recorded video or live from a high-speed camera (AutoTrack), and writes per-cell tables. It has a command
> line for scripts and AI agents: `tracell track` (videos, no window), `tracell live` (a camera session, no window)
> and `tracell gui` (drives the open window as a person would, while the person watches).

Every command has complete help (`tracell --help`, `tracell gui --help`, ...). `tracell reference
settings|columns|files|exit-codes --format json` prints the reference below as data. With `--json`, `track` and
`live` print one JSON object per line on stdout; `tracell gui` always answers in JSON. Exit codes: 0 done,
1 failed, 2 wrong command line, 3 no TraCell window, 4 the window is busy (a job or AutoTrack runs; wait and
retry), 5 `gui wait` timed out. In an open window a button or menu item is pressed only while it is enabled, and
while a job or live session runs only `stop`, `status`, `get`, `wait`, `screenshot` and `show` are accepted.
